Identifying and Selling Your Competitive Advantages // BUSINESS 453

Jeremy Berman, Senior Strategic Consultant / CEO, Shop Social Agency

Tuesday, February 28th from 8:00 - 9:30 pm

In any successful startup, it is incumbent upon the founders to hire, train and inspire a well positioned and appropriate sales team. Depending upon budget and scale, successful startups often begin sales efforts with the founders. Regardless of size and scale, a startup must create compelling messaging about it’s competitive advantage and translate that message into an effective sales strategy. This includes creating sales training guides, SOP’s and marketing materials, all tied together by one seamless mission and methodology.

This course will delve into the strategy behind identifying salient competitive advantages and creating a program that can effectively and fluently communicate these core competencies to their intended audience. Using the daily deal industry as a case study, the course will dive into some successful examples of how effective sales materials, proper hiring and training helped companies grow and flourish.

Jeremy Berman is currently running a strategic and creative consulting firm, called Shop Social Agency. He founded this company on the heels of a successful sale of his previous company, MyDailyThread, a lifestyle marketing company and pioneer in the daily deal space.
